During a Hardcore World of Warcraft event broadcast, Blizzard confirms official one-life realms are coming to Classic Era in the near future.
World of Warcraft just confirmed official Hardcore realms are coming to Classic Era in the near future. Though fans have played Hardcore World of Warcraft for most of Classic’s lifespan, players will soon have servers with official support for the challenging game mode.
Previously, World of Warcraft players discovered evidence that Blizzard was working on Hardcore realms for Classic WoW. They also found a new client build for Classic World of Warcraft that suggested something big was coming to the nostalgic servers soon.

Now, World of Warcraft Classic players have official confirmation that Hardcore realms are on the way. Near the end of the Hardcore Allstars Classic WoW event stream, World of Warcraft Classic developer Aggrend briefly appeared to make a formal announcement of the new realms.
