Of course, that shouldn’t be much of a problem. The odds are pretty good that you’ll be spending much more than $5 during Amazon’s big Prime Day sale on July 11-12.
As is always the case with promos like this one, there’s an important trick that lets you get the $5 bonus credit without actually spending any money. Just buy a $50 Amazon eGift card and enter your own email address as the recipient. Then, you can load the gift card on your own account and you’ve spent nothing.

The promo is simple: as long as you’re eligible, you can get a $15 Amazon credit when you back up your photos using the Amazon Photos service. You actually only have to back up a single photo from your smartphone using the Amazon Photos app and you can get in on the action.
As long as you’re a Prime subscriber who is eligible for the deal, the $15 Amazon credit will automatically be applied to your account. You’ll then be able to use the credit during Prime Day only, which means you’ll have to use it on July 11 or July 12. Also, your order must total at least $30 in order to apply the credit.
