The allegations of the killing of a Canadian Sikh stem from the surveillance of Indian diplomats in Canada, with intelligence provided by a major ally, an official says.

The allegations of India’s involvement in the killing of a Sikh Canadian are based on surveillance of Indian diplomats in Canada, including intelligence provided by a major ally, a Canadian official familiar with the matter said.

Speaking on Thursday on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, Trudeau acknowledged the complicated diplomatic situation he faces.
