The Amazon Prime Video ad-supported plans are expected to roll out globally, but India’s timeline isn’t mentioned yet.
Currently, users can access Prime Video ad-free by subscribing to Amazon Prime.
Amazon has revealed that it is planning to start showing ads in Prime Video early next year. As per Amazon, the streaming platform will feature “significantly fewer and meaningful ads” compared to traditional television and other streaming TV services. Amazon plans to do this globally, starting with US, UK, Germany, and Canada. Details of the Amazon Prime Video ad-supported plan rollout in India aren’t known yet.
