Resident Evil 4 Remake delivers a bold reimagining of the 2005 original, but one piece is still missing after the release of the Separate Ways DLC.
Resident Evil 4 Remake was released earlier this year, offering fans a complete reimagining of the 2005 classic and its Mercenaries mode. Despite the original being considered one of the best survival-horror titles of all time, the remake managed to exceed expectations, delivering an experience that saw Resident Evil 4 Remake nominated for Game of the Year at the Game Awards. In September, Separate Ways was released for RE4 Remake, again surpassing expectations. While the combination of RE4’s story mode, Mercenaries, and Separate Ways DLC delivers an exceptional survival-horror package, veteran fans know that one piece of the puzzle is still missing, as another popular side mode was featured in the 2005 original.
Resident Evil 4 Remake’s main campaign follows Leon Kennedy as he seeks to rescue the President’s Daughter, Ashley, and escape. On his adventure, Leon crosses paths with Resident Evil 2’s Ada Wong, who aids him to satisfy her own secret motives. The Separate Ways DLC explores these motives in greater detail, allowing fans to experience her side of the story in a unique campaign. However, another mode featuring the character was featured in the original GameCube title.
