Russell Brand Accused Of Sexually Assaulting An Extra On The Set Of ‘Arthur’ While A Production Crew Member “Guarded The Door From Outside”

An actress who worked as an extra on ‘Arthur’ accused Russell Brand of sexually assaulting her in a new lawsuit.
Russell Brand is facing more accusations of sexual assault after an extra from his 2011 comedy Arthur filed a lawsuit on Friday (Nov. 3) with the New York Supreme Court.
According to Variety, the woman — who is referred to in the lawsuit as Jane Doe — alleges that Brand exposed himself to her in front of the cast and crew while working on the movie.
In the lawsuit, Doe claims, “The sexual assault happened later that same day when I was in the bathroom. Mr. Brand entered after me and assaulted me, as a member of the production crew guarded the door from outside.”
The lawsuit continues, “As a result of the sexual abuse, I suffered and continue to suffer extreme embarrassment, shame, and fear.”
Prior to the assault, Doe said Brand “appeared intoxicated, smelled of alcohol, and was carrying a bottle of vodka” while on set.
Brand starred as the titular lead in the 2011 rom-com, which also stars Helen Mirren, Greta Gerwig and Jennifer Garner.
The unnamed actress claimed that she was booked to work on set for three days, but said she wasn’t called back after the assault took place “and was only paid for one day of work.
