God Of War Ragnarok Writer Teases More Story After Valhalla DLC

God of War Ragnarok writer Orion Walker hints at future story content for Kratos beyond the recent free Valhalla roguelike DLC expansion.
MAJOR SPOILERS FOR GOD OF WAR RAGNAROK
Kratos’s saga might not be over after the recent Valhalla DLC, at least according to one of the writers behind God of War Ragnarok. Earlier this week, Santa Monica Studio released a free DLC expansion for God of War Ragnarok, one that puts Kratos in a roguelike framework where he battles enemies across the Nine Realms in a repeated loop. So far, fans have praised God of War Ragnarok Valhalla for its rewarding gameplay and a surprising amount of content – with some playthroughs clocking in at about 10 hours.
In addition to giving players more of God of War Ragnarok’s brutal hack-and-slash combat with a new rogue-lite twist, Valhalla also features a story that sees Kratos journey to the titular realm of the dead after receiving a mysterious letter. There, he and Mimir must fight their way through Kratos’s memories as the former Ghost of Sparta wrestles with the demons of his past and makes important decisions about his future – a future that could hold serious ramifications for the Nine Realms following Odin’s defeat at the end of the base God of War Ragnarok.
