Some Nintendo 3DS and Wii U owners got an unexpected holiday surprise over the weekend when Nintendo started removing the ability for the devices to play online.
In October, Nintendo announced that all online services for the Wii U and 3DS would end in April 2024; however, it seems web access was removed earlier than planned, Engadget reports.
