These out-of-the-box items are selling like hotcakes.
If — like me — you’ve been staying on top of Amazon’s trending products, chances are you’ve come across a few strange finds. But some of these items are actually pretty useful, so to separate the wheat from the chaff, I scoured Amazon’s Movers & Shakers page to figure out which goods are increasing in popularity the fastest. Now that I’ve done that detective work, I present to you 50 of the strangest but most-in-demand things you can buy on Amazon right now. They’re kind of weird, but also kind of awesome.
Humidifiers are utilitarian things — working hard to soothe sinuses and moisturize dry skin — but they can also be fun. Proof? This mini humidifier that looks like a potted cactus. The rechargeable humidifier is perfectly sized for nightstands and desks and features a built-in night-light. Charge it up and it’ll run for up to four hours before it runs out of water.
Fighting with your fitted sheet that keeps coming out of place? These bed sheet straps will help you win the battle, securely grabbing each corner of your sheet and holding it taut under your mattress. The straps are adjustable, so they’ll work with beds of all sizes, from twins to California kings, while allowing you to get just the right amount of tension for a secure fit.
Give yourself a soothing spa treatment with this silicone ice facial massager. Applying ice to the skin can help reduce swelling and irritation, while minimizing the appearance of pores. Just fill the massager with water and freeze for four hours before use. You can even create a customized facial by adding botanicals or swapping plain water for antioxidant-rich, skin-soothing green tea.
Ever throw on your winter hat and wish it had a built-in light fixture? Well, maybe not, but it is surprisingly handy. This beanie with an LED light is perfect for nighttime dog walks and other after-dark activities. The removable LED light has three adjustable brightness settings and can run for up to eight hours on a charge.
If you’ve been burned by hitting snooze in the past, this alarm clock on wheels is perfect for you. The award-winning Clocky — straight off of Shark Tank — actually rolls off your nightstand and proceeds to jump, making you chase after it in order to stop the alarm. A great idea for heavy sleepers, it works on both carpeted and hard-surface floors.
Elevate your beverage game with these ice cube trays that make perfectly round spheres —perfect for craft cocktails and plain water alike. They’re made with hard, durable plastic, which makes it easier to release the spherical-shaped cubes. Plus, the set even comes with a mini scoop and an ice bin, so you can create extra cubes ahead of time.
Add instant storage space to your car with these handy headrest hooks. You can use them to hang your purse, lunch bag, groceries, and more — anything up to 55 pounds. By keeping your items off the floor, you’ll avoid spillage, rolling around, and other mishaps. Just hook each one around a headrest pole.
Nighttime multitaskers, unite: This LED neck light won’t let the darkness stop you from your favorite activities, like reading or knitting. Providing up to 80 hours of illumination on a full charge, this neck light has a blue light filter and three different color temperatures — yellow, warm white, and cool white. For even more customization, the arms are adjustable for targeted lighting, wherever you need it.
Ditch the whisk and opt for this shaker bottle to perfectly mix your batters for waffles, pancakes, and muffins. Just add the ingredients and shake, shake, shake as the blender ball inside expertly combines all the ingredients. Dispensing is easy, thanks to the heat-resistant silicone spout that adds a neat dollop with just a squeeze of your hand. You can even get creative with shapes and other art, if you’re feeling daring.
Double up your scrubbing power with this handheld power scrubber by Rubbermaid. The oscillating head rotates 60 times per second while its compact size can help you navigate tricky spaces like faucets, drains, and other nooks and crevices. Instead of constantly re-upping on disposable air fryer liners, buy these reusable liners — and save yourself money in the long run. The liners are made from food-grade silicone and feature ridges to maximize airflow. They’re dishwasher safe, and the handy side tabs make them easy to lift out.
Power up to nine devices and appliances at the same time (without worry), thanks to this surge protector and outlet extender. It’s compact and offers all sorts of protection from things you definitely don’t want — like short circuits, over-voltage, and over-heating. For small messes, there’s this mini dustpan and brush with an ingenious design. Some people drift off best while listening to a podcast or white noise — if that’s you, these sleep headphones are about to be in regular rotation. Instead of digging into your ears like earbuds, they’re nestled into a soft and stretchy headband.
