Back in September 2022, AMD unveiled its brand new naming scheme for its Ryzen Mobile CPUs. The new naming scheme was first adopted by the Ryzen 7040 «Phoenix» APUs and later used with the Ryzen 8040 «Hawk Point» chips. The family also included a range of refreshed and rebranded SKUs from previous families such as Rembrandt, Cezanne and entry-level SKUs like Mendocino. It looks like the company is changing its naming convention once again after just two new releases.
