The Vikings announced that J.J. McCarthy will miss the entire 2024 NFL season after undergoing surgery to repair a knee injury, and Sam Darnold is now QB1.
The injury news went from bad to worse with Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy on Wednesday.
The team announced that McCarthy, who was selected 10th overall in this year’s NFL Draft after winning the national championship at Michigan, is out for the season after undergoing surgery on his meniscus.
It had previously been reported that he was going into surgery, but not that the severity of the injury was season-ending.
