Fox Business Host Skeptical Donald Trump's Plan Will Work

President-elect Donald Trump announced a new Department of Government Efficiency, which Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy are nominated to lead.
Fox Business hosts remain somewhat skeptical of President-elect Donald Trump’s plans for an efficiency department.
The Big Money Show co-host Taylor Riggs asked business analyst Liz Peek and Fox Business co-host Brian Brenberg about Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy’s nomination to lead the Department of Government Efficiency to “upend the system.” While Peek said she is “extremely hopeful”, Brenberg was at first more hesitant.
“I’m going to be Debbie Downer for a second”, Brenberg said. “In the 1980s, Ronald Reagan put together the Grace Commission. This was a business guy, private people and the goal was to cut government waste essentially. They did a 2,500-page report. They had half a trillion dollars’ worth of savings in this thing. They handed it to the president. The president put it before Congress, and you know what Congress did? Nothing.”
Reagan authorized a group called the Private Sector Survey on Cost Control, which is often referred to as the Grace Commission, in 1982. Businessman J. Peter Grace led the charge and asked members of his commission at the time to “be bold and work like tireless bloodhounds, don’t leave any stone unturned in your search to root out inefficiency.
