Memorial services were held on Tuesday in New York for Omer Neutra, a 21-year-old Israeli American soldier who Israel says was killed in Hamas’s attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.
The memorial took place at a synagogue on Long Island, where Neutra grew up and where his family has lived for many years.
Neutra, a dual Israeli-U.S. citizen, was initially believed to have been taken hostage by Hamas during the assault on the Nova Music Festival, which triggered the latest outbreak of violence in the region.
