Is the cameraman on Jeju Island just lucky or is he just hiding his real strength like Sung Jin-Woo?
In Solo Leveling’s Jeju Island arc, one unexpected individual, other than Jin-Woo, catches the attention of fans. It is none other than the Cameraman, who seemingly has all the luck in the world as he continues to survive on Jeju Island, despite the Ant King’s revolting presence. He does a flawless job capturing real-time footage of the tragic battles on Jeju Island, but just how strong is the Cameraman?
The Cameraman joins the six S-rank Korean hunters in their attempt to kill the Ant Queen in her hive. It was a huge surprise that someone like him had been deployed in a dangerous location, where there was a 50/50 chance he may never return home alive. Even still, the iconic Cameraman in Solo Leveling gathers all the courage in his body to do his job properly, hoping that the S-rank hunters can finally put the Ant Queen and her countless children to rest.
Who Is the Cameraman on Jeju Island?

The Cameraman makes his debut in Solo Leveling season 2, episode 10, “We Need a Hero,” where he introduces himself to the Korean hunters for the first time. His name is never revealed, nor mentioned, keeping his identity a mystery for anime and manhwa fans alike. In the anime, he is referred to as a photographer, but in the manhwa, he is introduced as the Cameraman from the official hunter’s reporting center.
According to the Cameraman, he is the type of guy who specializes in filming hunters. He also reveals that the Jeju Island raid is set to be broadcast live on TV with a 10-minute delay, allowing the editing team to cut awkward and terrible shots of the hunters in action.
