The movie was based on the “Rapunzel” fairytale and was in active development when it was put on ice, according to Variety. Michael Gracey, director of “The Greatest Showman” was slated to direct the film, and screenwriter Jennifer Kaytin Robinson from “Thor: Love and Thunder” was on board to write the script. The movie is now on hold indefinitely, the outlet reported.
