In an earnings call, Samsung also confirms that its ‘Project Moohan’ XR headset and trifold smartphone are on track to launch this year.
Samsung already unveiled its Galaxy S25 series and newest foldables this year, but it has a few more things up its sleeve for 2025, including an earlier-than-normal launch for the FE, or Fan Edition, version of the S25.
«For the Galaxy S25 series, we will focus on maintaining sales momentum with seasonal promotions as well as an earlier launch of the S25 FE», Daniel Araujo, VP of Samsung’s mobile experience, said during its latest earnings call.
The last two generations of the Galaxy FE line, the S23 FE and S24 FE, launched in October, which suggests we’ll see the S25 FE in August or early September, Android Authority estimates. Typically, these phones offer most of the flagship phone experience for a lower price.
Araujo says Samsung is «also preparing to introduce next-generation innovative products, including our XR headset and trifold smartphone, this year.»
«Our XR headset, which seamlessly integrates the XR ecosystem developed in partnership with Google, as well as multimodal AI capabilities, will serve as a key stepping stone in solidifying our leadership in future technologies and further expanding the Galaxy ecosystem», Araujo said.
