America’s Cadillac F1 teams has finally chosen 2 drivers—Bottas and Perez—with some 16 race wins between them.
Cadillac Formula 1 has finally made their decision. The newest F1 team has signed former Mercedes-Benz driver Valtteri Bottas and ex-Red Bull racer Sergio Perez for the 2026 season on what we are hearing are multi-year contracts.
This decision marks a comeback to the F1 grid for both racers, after the two were dropped at the conclusion of 2024.
The selection was based on the drivers’ experience with F1 podiums and victories, according to Mark Reuss, president of General Motors, Cadillac’s parent company.
He called Bottas and Perez « a really good winning combination » for their selection.Bottas and Perez have won 16 races between them
As Lewis Hamilton’s teammate from 2017 to 2021 at Mercedes, Bottas, who turns 36 this month, scored 20 pole positions and won 10 races for the team.
