Aug. 31 The Powerball prize has risen to a massive $1.1 billion jackpot after no tickets matched all six numbers in Saturday’s drawing, the Multi-State Lottery Association said Sunday.
Saturday night’s winning numbers were white balls 3, 18, 22, 27, 33, and red Powerball 17, with a Power Play multiplier of 3.
The next drawing is set for Monday, which falls on Labor Day. It will mark the fifth-largest prize in the history of the Powerball, the association noted in a news release. The largest jackpot won in the game’s history since it began in 1992 was $2.
