The 2025 NFL regular season is right around the corner and the Pittsburgh Steelers are now gearing up for their season opener against the New York Jets on September 7. Aaron Rodgers and company want to get off to a strong start.
With Super Bowl aspirations clearly in mind, the Steelers put together an aggressive offseason. Rodgers was one of the big additions, while DK Metcalf, Jalen Ramsey, and Jonnu Smith were also all acquired via trade. T.J. Watt was also given a long-term lucrative contract extension.
Rodgers has been fairly open about the 2025 season likely being his last. However, could he be convinced to change his mind?
Metcalf spoke out recently during an appearance on the « Not Just Football with Cam Heyward » show and hinted about the future Hall of Fame quarterback potentially playing in 2026 as well.
