Disney+ confirms the streaming release date for ‘Thunderbolts.’
The first big superhero movie of the summer finally has a streaming release date on Disney+. «Thunderbolts*» will begin streaming on Disney+ on August 27. Fittingly, considering it’s the same weekday new comics hit shelves, the film will drop on the streaming service on a Wednesday.
Directed by Jake Schreier, «Thunderbolts*» stars Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Lewis Pullman, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell, Hannah John-Kamen, Olga Kurylenko, Geraldine Viswanathan, and Wendell Pierce.
The members of the eponymous super team are culled from multiple Marvel Cinematic Universe projects including «Black Widow», «The Falcon and the Winter Soldier», and «Ant-Man & The Wasp.»
Originally conceived as supervillains disguising themselves as superheroes in the nineties, the Thunderbolts have gone through many incarnations over the years both in and out of the comics.
