Taylor Swift’s pal did not receive a heads up about the “Love Story” singer’s engagement before she shared the news online.
Before Sheeran, 34, took the stage for his SiriuxSM Small Stage Series concert in New York City on Wednesday, Andy Cohen asked, “How did you find out about the engagement?”
The “Shape of You” crooner replied, “Instagram.”
Cohen, 57, expressed his disbelief, replying, “Instagram? Like everyone else? You didn’t even get a DM in advance?”
Sheeran confirmed, “No.”
The four-time Grammy winner had the same single-word response when asked whether he has “heard Taylor’s new album,” “The Life of a Showgirl,” or received a “save the date for the wedding.
