One witness told local media the man placed a U.S. flag on the damaged gate and „took off.“
A man rammed his car into the gate of an FBI field office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, early on Wednesday and then fled the scene in what investigators are viewing as an „act of terror“. There were no reports of any injuries.
The FBI named the suspect as Donald Henson of Penn Hills. He is not believed to be armed, the FBI said, but he has a history of mental health issues, so they consider him to be dangerous. The FBI also said Henson is thought to be a former member of the military.
FBI Pittsburgh Assistant Special Agent In Charge Christopher Giordano said Henson had grabbed an American flag from inside the car and thrown it over the gate he had just crashed into.
„We look at this as an act of terror against the FBI“, Giordano said, urging anyone with information about Henson to contact 911.
