Working on a tablet has become a trend these days due to their portable form factor and affordability as compared to laptops, budget tablet hunters can now look forward to the Techlife Pad Plus 12″ LTE, which as the name suggests, it is a 12-inch tablet that comes with 4G connectivity and surprise, surprise, it costs just RM799 to own one, but is it the real deal despite being a budget device?
The name Techlife might sound a little unfamiliar to most of us, but it is a sub-brand of realme, which focuses more on budget oriented gadgets. Despite being a budget device, the tablet has a very premium build with an all aluminum body, even the camera ring has has a nice premium swirly texture to it, the tablet is as also very slim at just around 6mm, though Techlife hasn’t disclosed its actual weight but a simple lift gifts it around 500g, which is rather standard across other 12-inch tablets.
The tablet’s 12-inch 2K display with a 90Hz refresh rate is technically the largest screen you can get in its class, though colors aren’t quite as vivid as an OLED display which you shouldn’t expect it to pack one, but it offers a very comfortable viewing experience if you want to read up a long e-mail or binge watch a Netflix originals, and speaking of the latter, this tablet is Widevine L1 certified and can support Full HD playback on Netflix.
