Diablo 4 Season 11 is adding a long-overdue feature that feels like it would have been better suited for one of the game’s earlier seasons.
Diablo 4 Season 11 is bringing a new threat to Sanctuary with its Lesser Evil Invasions mechanic. While Diablo 4 players are no strangers to facing Lesser Evils like Andariel, Duriel, and Belial as Lair Bosses, finding them in places like Helltides, the Pit of the Artificer, and Kurast Undercity will reshape how they approach these activities. Additionally, the fourth Lesser Evil yet to make its Diablo 4 debut, Azmodan, will join the game’s pool of World Bosses, but it may be too late to have the impact it could have had in an earlier season.
While the star of Diablo 4 Season 11 may be the rework of gear upgrade systems like Tempering and Masterworking, this season will also serve as a refresh to long-forgotten mechanics as a whole. Leaderboards are set to return along with the new Tower dungeon, and the Seasonal Journey is being replaced with the Season Rank feature. These changes are likely to make Diablo 4 Season 11 feel very different from any previous season, but may not necessarily be the ideal time to introduce a new World Boss.
