The Galaxy A17 continues Samsung’s push to refine its midrange lineup, offering a mix of familiar strengths and thoughtful upgrades. It doesn’t completely reinvent the A-series formula, but it makes enough improvements to feel like a solid step forward. With a cleaner design, tougher build, and extended software support, the Samsung Galaxy A17 feels more polished than last year’s A16.
The phone hit the Pakistani market on October 3, 2025, and is available at retail stores and on Samsung’s official website. It comes in two variants: 6GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at Rs. 54,999 and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage priced at Rs. 62,999.
Despite keeping the same starting price as the Galaxy A16, Samsung has managed to deliver meaningful refinements in both design and user experience. From upgraded camera performance to a sturdier display, the A17 brings several key updates, and you can either read all the details below or watch our YouTube review video to see them in action. The choice is yours!
The Galaxy A17 introduces a refined design language. The A16 featured a circular camera module, while the A17 shifted to a camera island design, giving it a more modern and symmetrical appearance. The plastic frame and back remain, but the finish feels more premium.
The phone now measures 7.5mm in thickness compared to 7.9mm on the A16 and weighs 191 grams, making it 10 grams lighter. Samsung also retains the IP54 dust and water resistance rating, adding a bit more peace of mind for daily use. The flattened edges and smoother corners make it more comfortable to hold and give it a sleeker overall aesthetic.Display: Brighter and More Durable
Samsung continues to lead with its display quality in the midrange tier. The A17 uses a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, identical to the A16.
