A tipster has shared the alleged battery capacity belonging to the iPhone Fold, and it will be larger than the iPhone 17 Pro Max’s cell
Apple has never been in favor of adding exceptionally large batteries to its iPhones, but the wave of competitors shipping their devices with silicon-carbon cells likely forced the company’s hand to incorporate a 5,088mAh unit in the iPhone 17 Pro Max. A battery capacity in the 5,400-5,800mAh range was earlier said to be in testing, but increasing the size would result in the iPhone Fold getting substantially heavier, which could be why Weibo’s Fixed-focus digital cameras’ has mentioned in a new post that the device will have a reduced 5,500mAh+ cell, probably to help keep the weight balanced.
