Rumours and leaks around Motorola’s unannounced Moto Z3 smartphone is slowly catching some pace. The company recently sent a ‘Save the date’ for a smartphone launch where it is assumed the Moto Z3 will launch. Now, the Moto Z3 Play and one of its Mods has showed up in a couple of images. The images shared by XDA Developers, shows the smartphone and the mod, which will be first of its kind for the company.
The Moto Z3 Play is seen without a notch on top of the screen, probably sporting an 18:9 aspect ratio display. There are no physical front facing buttons and the home screen is typical stock Android like seen in other Moto handsets. In one of the images, the smartphone is seen sporting a dual rear camera setup as well.
As for the mod, the accessory is said to bring 5G capability to the device. The new 5G Moto Mod is thick and has a small antenna extension on top. Like other mods, this too can be snapped at the back of the device using the magnetic connector.
Although it is not for sure when exactly will we see the Mod hitting the shelves, it seems that Motorola is moving in the right direction. With several smartphones working towards bringing 5G connectivity support in their handsets, Moto seems to have found an easy way out.
As mentioned by XDA Developers, the Moto Z3 Play is supposed to feature a 6-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB or 64GB inbuilt storage with support for microSD card, dual rear cameras and a 3,000mAh battery.
For those unaware, Moto has already sent a ‘save the date’ invite for a phone launch event in Brazil for June 6. At the event we are expected to see the Moto Z3 series.
On the side lines, the company is gearing up to launch the Moto G6 and the Moto G6 Play in India.
