Vivo has launched a newer variant of the phone with 6GB RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor in Indonesia.
Earlier this year, Vivo launched its latest V series smartphone, named as Vivo V9. At the time of launch, the phone was equipped with 4GB RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor.
Now, Vivo has launched a newer variant of the phone with 6GB RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor in Indonesia .
Apart from the RAM and processor, the new model also comes with a different dual camera setup of 13MP+2MP at the rear and a dual pixel 12MP camera sensor at the front. This, however, seems like a downgrade from the last year’s 16MP + 5MP dual camera module of the phone. The other specifications of the new Vivo V9 variant remain the same.
Looking at the rest of key specifications, the new V9 comes with a 6.3-inch full HD+ display with a notch that houses the front camera, earpiece and other necessary sensors. Coming to the software part the device is running Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and a 3260 mAh battery.
The smartphone comes in two colour options— Red hues and Black.
Pricing and Availability The new Vivo V9 has been priced at IDR 42,99,000 (roughly Rs 20,600) and it will be available from 4th July in Indonesia. There is no any information available regarding its India launch.
On a related note, Vivo has confirmed the launch of its latest flagship – Vivo Nex on July 19.
Out of the two Nex variant, the Nex S is the high-end variant of the series is powered by latest Snapdragon processor 845SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. While the Nex A is equipped with Snapdragon 710 SoC paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Apart from the top tier specs, Vivo Nex S also packs the latest technologies like popup selfie camera, in-display fingerprint scanner.
Other than that, the specifications of the both Vivo Nex handsets are same. The device comes with a 6.59-inch FHD+ 19.3:9 Super AMOLED display. There is a dual rear camera setup comprising of 12-megapixel primary camera and 5-megapixel secondary camera with 4-axis OIS. The retractable front camera is that of an 8-megapixel sensor. Backed by a 4000mAh battery and runs on Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.
