Nicki Minaj pulled all her “Barbie Tingz” out of storage for her new music video.
After a dramatic week featuring a hair-pulling, shoe-throwing brawl with Cardi B, a red carpet wardrobe malfunction and more, the 35-year-old star cast a slew of puppets as her male rap-world rivals for her “Barbie Dreams” video.
The neon-hued clip, directed by Hype Williams, features Minaj dressed in an array of technicolor outfits from some of the biggest designers in the business.
Style standouts include a navy Dior bra, a full denim look from Chromat, a bejeweled denim corset by The Blonds, clear Yeezy pumps and a see-through neon trench coat by Christian Cowan.
Minaj also pulled out a number of big-ticket archival styles, including a yellow Gucci fur, a gold Balmain fringe necklace and a vintage windowpane-print Gareth Pugh bodysuit.
And, of course, the “Starships” singer had to break out the wigs to match. Throughout the video, Minaj changes up her hair to match each colorful ensemble, modeling waist-length canary-yellow locks, a mermaid-hued fade, a slime-green bob and even dip-dyed “watermelon hair.”
