“They’re playing a con game, and they play it very well.”
President Donald Trump is not happy with the Democrats’ treatment of his Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
Since his nomination, some Democrats have vowed to do everything in their power to delay Kavanaugh’s confirmation. During his hearing, the judge was bombarded with interruptions from Democrat senators and protesters attempting to shut down the hearing.
After his hearing, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) released a letter containing allegations of sexual assault. Christine Blasey Ford stepped forward and made those accusations against Kavanaugh, pointing to an incident she claims happened in high school.
After that, Deborah Rameriz came forward and accused the judge of exposing himself to her during a party while they attended college at Yale.
Now, Stormy Daniels’ attorney Michael Avenatti claims that he has witnesses who have stated that Kavanaugh ran a “gang rape” ring in Washington D. C.
With little to no hard evidence having been brought forward, Trump isn’t thrilled with the Democrats’ response to the situation.

“I think [Judge Kavanaugh] is just a wonderful human being. I mean I think it’s horrible what the Democrats have done. It’s a con game they’re playing. They’re really con artists. They’re trying to convince… You know they don’t believe it themselves, okay. They know he’s a high-quality person. They don’t believe it. They just resist and obstruct.”
The president didn’t back down from his “con artists” accusations.
“They’re playing a con game, and they play it very well. They play it, actually, much better than Republicans. They’re lousy politicians and their lousy policy. They don’t know what the hell they’re doing.”
Trump reaffirmed that he believes Kavanaugh is an upstanding person.
“For the Democrats to be trying to make him into something, let’s be nice about it, that he’s not. He’s a high-quality person,” said Trump, adding, “He’s a great intellect.”
It doesn’t look like Trump will be leaving Kavanaugh’s side anytime soon.
