A former adviser to Hillary Clinton, Mark Penn, said President Donald Trump can fight the incoming Democratic House with his attorney general and begin to “investigate the investigators,” on “Fox & Friends” Wednesday.
Penn said he’s skeptical the White House will be investigated any further, because special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe has already put many administration officials under a microscope. “I doubt this White House is going to see more investigations because they’ve been through the most intensive investigation in history with the Mueller investigation, where virtually everybody was put under a spotlight,” Penn said.

Penn said he believes the real target of House Democrats is Trump’s business empire and his personal finances, but said the president has options when it comes to fending them off.
“I think the real thing is Democrats may go after some of Trump’s business enterprises,” Penn declared. “But, on the other hand, they’ve got the Mueller report waiting. So, since they probably should wait for that report and that’s the big kahuna of investigations.”
“But really, on the other side, Trump now can appoint a new attorney general who might appoint a second independent counsel and so subpoenas could fly here and every direction — to investigate the investigators,” he added.
Trump tweeted about a possible investigation from the Democrats early Wednesday morning and said if they insist on investigating him, he will be forced to investigate them for leaking classified information.
If the Democrats think they are going to waste Taxpayer Money investigating us at the House level, then we will likewise be forced to consider investigating them for all of the leaks of Classified Information, and much else, at the Senate level. Two can play that game!
