The unannounced mid-range handset sports a 5.56-inch IPS display with 2220 x 1080 pixels resolution and packs a 2,915 mAh battery. Surprisingly, it does include a 3.5mm audio jack too, but there’s no microSD card slot.
By the look of it, the Pixel 3 Lite is a prototype that will never see a market release, so don’t get your hopes for a cheaper Pixel smartphone too high. Still, it’s nice to know that Google is experimenting with different hardware configurations, even if many of these prototypes remain just that – prototypes.
No, Google didn’t announce a new Pixel and we seriously doubt that it will until next year. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are the only smartphones introduced by Google this and will probably remain so, even though information about a mid-range Pixel model has just popped up online. The Pixel 3 Lite is a watered-down version of Google’s current flagships, a phone that made headlines less than two weeks ago. Now we get to see the phone in the flash thanks to several pictures that have been published today by XDA Developers Just like the regular Pixel 3 model, the Lite model does not seem to feature a notch. As far as the specs go, the Pixel 3 Lite is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor, 4GB RAM, and 32GB storage. Also, a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera is included as well, along with a secondary 8-megapixel selfie snapper.
