For the second week in a row, Ariana Grande owns the singles chart in the U. K. with her latest release “Thank U, Next.” After debuting in the top spot last frame and becoming her third leader, the track hasn’t gone anywhere, as the British people are still streaming it in massive numbers.
This time around in the country, no new titles enter the region, which is a rare occurrence in a nation where music typically rises and falls much faster than in the U. S.
The songs that held the Nos. 2 and 3 positions this time last frame, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s former chart-owner “Shallow” and Little Mix and Nicki Minaj’s “Woman Like Me,” remain exactly where they were last week.
Up to a new peak of No. 4 is Rita Ora’s current promotional cut “Let You Love Me,” which is meant to get people excited for her sophomore record Phoenix. The long-awaited album is slated to drop at the end of this month.
One-week chart champion “Funky Friday” by U. K. hip-hop acts Dave and Fredo climbs one rung to No. 5 after quickly falling from the summit.
American alt-pop singer Halsey sees her new single “Without Me” lift to a newly-established peak of No. 6 after just recently entering the top 10. The song is now her highest-charting solo cut, though she has reached the coveted No. 1 slot twice as a featured artist.
Fellow pop singer Jess Glynne keeps her new track “Thursday,” the third top 10 single from her sophomore album Always in Between (itself a chart-topper on its respective listing) at No. 7, followed by Post Malone and Swae Lee’s “Sunflower” at No. 8.
The final pair of positions inside this week’s top 10 are owned by newcomer Freya Ridings and her breakout smash “Lost Without You” and Kodak Black, Offset and Travis Scott’s “ZEZE,” as the two tunes settle at Nos. 9 and 10, respectively.
