Froggipedia, which became the iPad App of the Year, allows users to learn about the internal organs of a frog without dissecting it
The year 2018 is coming to an end and ahead of the year end, Apple has announced its ‘Best of 2018’- its annual list which details the best content available on the App Store and iTunes across devices including the iPhone, iPad, Mac and the Apple TV. The list includes everything from apps to games, from movies to music and books to podcasts.
As the tradition goes, while the company announces the top trends across devices, it also announces a list of apps across categories that its editors consider worth highlighting and represent the best of what the year had to offer. This year, Apple’s editors awarded iPad App of Year honour to and app by an Indian software company.
Froggipedia is an augmented reality based educational app developed by India-based Designmate that allows users to observe the life-cycle of a frog and dissect and observe the complex structure of its internal organs without having to touch a frog or lift a scalpel in real life.
