A Howell man was sentenced to a minimum of 16 years in prison for sexually assaulting four young girls, the youngest under 7 years old. One of the victims called Christopher Schroeder “horrible” and “vile” during her victim impact statement prior to sentencing last week. “Every time you have half of a decent moment where you begin to smile, may it be snatched away for the pain you caused others,” the mother of one victim said. Schroeder,37, was awaiting trial on rape charges filed in 2018 when he was charged last year with seven more counts of criminal sexual assault involving three girls younger than 16.
