Its stadium may be a hazard, but at least the Washington Football Team will finally have a new name in less than a month. The franchise announced on Tuesday that it will reveal its long-awaited name change on Feb.2. It will come about 19 months after it ditched its old nickname over issues of racial insensitivity, and temporarily became the Washington Football Team. Team president Jason Wright disclosed that the new mascot will not be the Wolves or RedWolves, despite those names being fan favorites, because of the trademark challenges they would come with.
