WASHINGTON D.C.: According to industry trade group the American Gaming Association, some 20 percent of American adults will make some type of bet on this year’s Super Bowl between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs, predicted to total $16 billion in bets, or twice last year’s figure.
While two-thirds of US states have some form of legal gambling, only around $1 billion of the total bets the Superbowl will be placed through casinos, racetracks or companies, such as FanDuel and DraftKings.
