Control Panel still exists ‘for compatibility reasons,’ but Microsoft is encouraging people to ‘use the Settings app, whenever possible’ since that will soon be the only option.
Windows users will soon see more of the Settings app and less of the Control Panel.
“The Control Panel is in the process of being deprecated in favor of the Settings app, which offers a more modern and streamlined experience”, the company writes on a support page.
Control Panel still exists “for compatibility reasons and to provide access to some settings that have not yet migrated” to the Settings app.
