Carrie Underwood is getting ready to take over judging duties on American Idol, as she’s the latest addition to the panel. The country singer—and one of the most successful winners from the reality TV staple—is set to fill Katy Perry’s seat, which she vacated to promote her new album 143 and tour the project.
Ahead of Underwood’s debut as a judge on the singing competition series, which will return in March of 2025, she’s still producing music. The country favorite has shared several new songs throughout 2024, and many of them have become hits. Two of her most popular recent cuts both manage to find their way back not only to the charts but into the highest tier.
