Sarah Huckabee Sanders said at a press briefing Wednesday that Donald Trump didn’t receive phone calls from the Boy Scouts or the Mexican president.

President Donald Trump never received a call from the Boy Scouts of America following his speech or from the Mexican president applauding his desire to build a wall, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said.
Sanders was taking questions from reporters at Wednesday’s press briefing when she was asked if Trump had received a call from the leader of the Boy Scouts saying the speech he gave at the organization’s Jamboree was the “greatest ever.”
“Multiple members of the Boy Scouts leadership, following his speech that day congratulated him, praised him and offered quite powerful compliments following his speech, ” Sanders said.
Sanders was pushed further on receiving the phone call by the reporter, who claimed Trump lied about them.
“I wouldn’ t say it was a lie, that’s a pretty bold accusation, ” Sanders said. “The conversations took place, they just simply didn’ t take place over a phone call. He had them in-person.”
