Senior U. S. national security officials say that a military confrontation with North Korea is not imminent
After days of back and forth escalation between the United States and North Korea, the threat of missile launches from the mysterious regime seems to be in the past.
North Korea says it won’ t test-fire ballistic missiles near Guam at this time. A North Korean statement said Kim Jong Un would observe what it called ‘foolish and stupid conduct’ of the US before deciding whether to order the missiles fired.
President Donald Trump is weighing in on the decision saying North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un made a ‘wise and well reasoned decision.’ Trump tweeted Wednesday that « the alternative would have been both catastrophic and unacceptable! »
Guam’s Lt. Gov. Ray Tenorio said officials of the U. S. territory were happy that the reherotic from Kim Jong-un had calmed down in recent days.
