All DLC Raids in Elden Ring Nightreign

0

There are three new raids in Elden Ring Nightreign DLC, and players can complete some of these quite easily for some great powers.
Raids in Elden Ring Nightreign are boss encounters that can occur during the first or second day of an expedition. Every raid acts as a World Event and is different from one another. The base game only has four raids, but with the addition of the Forsaken Hollows DLC, three new raids can now trigger. The guide below offers information on all the newly added raids, how to complete them, and the powers players will get in Elden Ring Nightreign.
All DLC Raids in Elden Ring Nightreign

The Caligo raid starts with the dragon covering the entire map in a thick fog, making it hard to see. On top of this, Caligo will also shoot ice crystals all over the map, which damages you and inflicts frostbite buildup. This can be a very annoying raid, so it must be dealt with as quickly as possible.
When the raid initiates, you can immediately open your map to spot a large red radius on the map where Caligo could be. Make your way there to find the dragon sleeping, and a few hits should make it fly away, completing the raid and giving you the following power:
Cold Mirage: Conceals oneself when faced with threats to life, neutralizing all attacks.

The Tricephalos raid is one of the more annoying raids in the game. When the raid begins, three Sundered Tricephalos will spawn in different locations. Your objective is to find all of them in the red areas marked on the map and deal with them. They are not that strong but are accompanied by smaller Tricephalos enemies. On top of this, you and your allies will also take fire damage throughout the course of the raid, which damages you for a small percentage of your health every second.
The annoying part of this raid is how far apart they can spawn, ruining your optimized run at times. Exploring and making sure you do not fall off the map on the Great Hollow can be tough as it is, so having the Tricephalos raid on that map as well does not help. If you are playing on Trios while communicating with the other teammates, you can assign one player to each Sundered Tricephalos, but they can be difficult to handle early on, especially with the little enemies around them. The power you get by completing this raid is:
Beast’s Hunt: Successive attacks restore stamina and hasten stamina recovery for self and nearby allies.

Finally, the last raid that has been added to the DLC is the Balancers raid, which is a fun one. All players will be teleported away as soon as the raid starts and will spawn in three different locations. These will either be Blacksmith Villages, where you can change weapon skill, or Encampments. Players will also lose some of their flasks, which will start restoring after every Balancer goes down.
Players will have to defeat a Balancer in these locations, who are always standing next to the boss of this location. This can be challenging since players will have to deal with the Balancers themselves and the area boss. However, the Balancers do not have much HP and are quite easy to deal with, so you should focus on them first. Once all three of them are down, you will get back your Health Flasks and get the following power:
Power to Balance the World: Rise from near-death unaided on occasion. Attack power increases after rising from near-death.

2 killed in Russia while Ukraine's energy infrastructure is targeted and peace talks press on

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia had sent over 450 drones and 30 missiles into Ukraine overnight.
At least two people were killed in a drone attack in Russia’s southwestern Saratov region and parts of Ukraine went without power following targeted assaults on energy infrastructure, local authorities said Saturday, as U.S.-led peace talks on ending the war press on.
The drone attack damaged a residential building and several windows were also blown out at a kindergarten and clinic, said Saratov regional Gov. Roman Busargin.
Russia’s defense ministry said it had shot down 41 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory overnight.
In Ukraine, Russia launched overnight drone and missile strikes on five Ukrainian regions, targeting energy and port infrastructure.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia had sent over 450 drones and 30 missiles into Ukraine overnight.
“Thousands of families are now left without electricity after strikes last night in Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions”, he wrote on Telegram.
An attack on the Black Sea city of Odesa caused grain silos to catch fire at the port, Ukrainian deputy prime minister and reconstruction minister Oleksiy Kuleba said.
Two people were wounded in attacks on the wider Odesa region, according to regional head Oleh Kiper.
Kyiv and its Western allies say Russia is trying to cripple the Ukrainian power grid and deny civilians access to heat, light and running water for a fourth consecutive winter, in what Ukrainian officials call “weaponizing” the cold.
The latest round of attacks came after Kremlin adviser Yuri Ushakov said Friday that Russian police and National Guard will stay on in eastern Ukraine’s Donbas and oversee the industry-rich region, even if a peace settlement ends Russia’s nearly four-year war in Ukraine. This underscores Moscow’s ambition to maintain its presence in Donbas post-war. Ukraine is likely to reject such a stance as U.S.-led negotiations drag on.
Moscow will give its blessing to a ceasefire only after Ukraine’s forces have withdrawn from the front line, Ushakov said in comments published in Russian business daily Kommersant.
Meanwhile, Germany is set to host Zelenskyy on Monday for talks as peace efforts gain momentum and European leaders seek to steer negotiations.
For months, American negotiators have tried to navigate the demands of each side as U.S. President Donald Trump presses for a swift end to Russia’s war while growing increasingly exasperated by delays. The search for possible compromises has run into a major obstacle over who keeps Ukrainian territory currently occupied by Russian forces.

This could become one of the best tools for controlling devices in your connected home

0

A way to control like never before
The Elgato Stream Deck Neo is a handy device that can add some new controls to your setup and can be useful for work, play, and everything in between. We found it genuinely useful in our review, with the pad being extremely versatile thanks to its customizability. While most people will associate this device with gaming, it can be taken much further with proper programming.
This is where it can become a vital tool to control your home lab or smart home setup. While the Stream Deck Neo offers a pretty easy-to-use setup right out of the box, you can take things to another level if you’re willing to work for it. The beauty of this device is that it can be as simple or complex as you want it to be.
The hardware

The Stream Deck Neo is a fantastic piece of hardware that’s simple, elegant, and durable. It features a plastic body and there are eight customizable buttons in total. Each key has a display behind it, which can be customized to show pretty much anything you want.
It makes interacting with each key clear and easy. In addition, there are two touch sensitive keys, and a small display towards the bottom that can display extra information.
The software

This is where the Stream Deck Neo gets its power. Not only are there a bunch of preset functions that come built into the software, but you can also create your own if you’re comfortable doing so.
This can range from something simple like monitoring your security camera setup with just the click of a button, or you can have the Steam Deck Neo run some complex automations or scripts for your home or office.
The price makes it

And finally, we get to the price. While this device usually costs $100, it can now be had for much less, coming in at just $80. It’s not the steepest discount that we’ve seen, but it’s pretty close. If you like tinkering, this is a device worth picking up and giving a try.

The open-source Google Photos killer that gives me back control of my family albums

0

Stop paying with your privacy
Google Photos has been the undisputed king of convenience that offers powerful organization and effortless sharing – but at the cost of our privacy and control. The good news is, the perfect open-source solution exists, and it’s far more than just a photo storage vault.
I’m talking about Nextcloud, specifically leveraging its powerful media management features to create a self-hosted, private cloud that gives you complete control over your family albums. This isn’t just a backup; it’s a seamless, feature-rich platform that allows you to organize, share, and relive your photos with peace of mind.
What exactly is Nextcloud, anyway?

More than just a Google Photos alternative

The moment I realized I had to break up with Google Photos, I started searching for a true replacement – not just another cloud service, but something fundamentally different. That’s when I discovered Nextcloud.
Nextcloud is not merely a Google Photos killer; it’s a complete personal cloud platform. You can think of it as your own private Microsoft 365, but the difference is that you are in control of your own server and rules.
By running Nextcloud on my own hardware (whether a Raspberry Pi in the corner or a dedicated VPS), I am storing my data, including my entire family’s life captured in photos and more, entirely on a machine that I control.
While the Nextcloud media apps deliver the ‘Google Photos killer’ experience, the platform is so much more. It’s a powerful replacement for Google Drive that allows me to sync files across all my devices.
It also manages my personal calendars, contact lists, emails, tasks, and even notes. This means that by solving my photo problem, I created a comprehensive, private alternative for my entire digital life.
I didn’t just replace one feature; I replaced an entire ecosystem with one built on privacy and user control.
Covers all the basics of a gallery app

Albums, sharing, and more

When I first moved my family photo library, my biggest fear was losing the day-to-day usability I had with Google Photos. I didn’t just want a file dump; I needed a gallery app that worked.
Nextcloud covers all the basics. I can create beautiful albums. They are effectively virtual folders, meaning I can group photos from a trip without duplicating the actual files on the server. Better yet, I can share these albums with family using a secure, public link.
My photos are automatically sorted and displayed chronologically using the EXIF metadata. This gives me that familiar, endless-scroll timeline, and with Memories, I get a timeline to jump quickly to specific years.
The ‘Memories’ feature, just like the one I loved in Google Photos, automatically highlights what happened on the same date in previous years. I can even view all my images laid out on a map. This is one of my favorite features for tracking old vacations and visually exploring where my family has been.
For my Mac and Windows computers, the Nextcloud desktop client offers a files-on-demand. Instead of downloading my massive 500GB photo library to my laptop’s small hard drive, the desktop client shows me the entire library structure.
Open-source and self-hosting

Practically unlimited storage

Nextcloud is an open-source software. It means their codebase is publicly available and reviewable by anyone. I don’t have to just trust that the developers aren’t inserting tracking code or scanning my images for data mining purposes; I can verify it.
Besides, I run the Nextcloud software on a piece of hardware that I own – a small server, a dedicated computer, or even a low-power device like a Raspberry Pi.
That means the data never leaves my home network. I control the physical security, the backups, and the maintenance. Since I’m storing my photos locally, I get to keep the original, full-resolution files with zero compression. Overall, after the initial hardware investment, my ongoing costs are minimal.
Excellent mobile apps

Supports auto media upload

One of my biggest concerns when moving to a self-hosted solution was: ‘Will it feel like a clunky website wrapped in an app, or a modern mobile experience?’ The moment I started using the official Nextcloud Android app, I realized the experience was polished.
Nextcloud Android app supports the Material You theme, and all the essential features you would expect from a cloud platform.
It supports the same excellent media view, favorites, media auto upload, passcode, offline access, and more. In short, the Nextcloud mobile app is far from an afterthought.
Your photos, your server

Switching from Google Photos to a self-hosted solution like Nextcloud is more than just a technical migration. This open-source champion proves that you don’t have to sacrifice powerful features like smart tagging, visual timelines, and effortless sharing for the sake of privacy.
Of course, the setup may take an afternoon or a weekend, but the result is a personalized cloud where your memories are protected and completely under your control. What are you waiting for? Go ahead, try Nextcloud, play with other productivity add-ons, and create a private digital life in no time.
If Nextcloud doesn’t work for you, check out Immich, which is another capable Google Photos alternative for home lab enthusiasts.

Diablo 4 Season 11 Sanctification Guide

0

Hadirel’s Heavenly Forge is open to all players in Diablo 4 Season 11, and it can yield some stupidly strong results.
Diablo 4 has always been about getting the best possible loot, and Season 11 doubles down on that by adding Hadriel’s Heavenly Forge, a place where you can make your best gear even better through Sanctification. The angels of the High Heavens are finally getting involved again, and while the help they can provide is limited, even a minor change to your BiS gear can spell a massive difference.
Beefing your gear up in Hadriel’s forge is a pretty simple process, but it can be a little confusing at first. In this guide, we’ll be going over how you can Sanctify your gear in Diablo 4 as well as some of the important bits related to the process itself, such as the limitations of Sanctification and the requirements you need to meet.
How to Use the Heavenly Forge in Diablo 4

You can get to the Heavenly Forge by using the angelic portal in any of the main cities in the game. Here, you’ll find Hadriel and a bunch of craftsmen surrounding the forge itself.
Now, when you interact with the Heavenly Forge, either nothing will happen (likely caused by network lag), or a Sanctification menu will appear. Here, you can place an item into the open slot and Sanctify it, but before you can lock it in, you’ll first need to get a Heavenly Sigil.
Sanctifying an item will grant it one random upgrade of some sort. So far, we’ve gotten the following effects from Sanctification:
A random affix gets upgraded into a Greater Affix

An item’s quality gets fully upgraded

The effect of any gem slotted into the item gets massively increased

The item gets a completely new (and often powerful) affix

There’s only one catch with Sanctification: a Sanctified item in Diablo 4 can no longer be modified in any way, shape or form. That means you won’t be able to Temper or Masterwork it anymore, nor will you be able to change its Legendary Aspect, add sockets, and so on. Make absolutely sure that you no longer need to change anything with the item you want to upgrade.
Where to Get Heavenly Sigils in Diablo 4

Heavenly Sigils can drop from the following sources:
World Bosses

Bartuc from Infernal Hordes

Dark Citadel caches

Kurast Undercity runs

Helltide Tortured Gifts
The Pit of the Artificer

Resplendent Chests

Occasionally, a portal to the Heavenly Forge will open up after you finish an activity like a Nightmare Dungeon or Helltide boss encounter. This means that you get one free use of the forge’s Sanctification service. This is a one-time offer for that specific moment, meaning that if you leave the portal alone, you’ll lose that chance for a free Sanctification.

Anthropic’s Chief Scientist Says We’re Rapidly Approaching the Moment That Could Doom Us All

0

Anthropic’s chief scientist Jared Kaplan says humanity will soon have a big decision to make on whether to take the “ultimate risk” on AI.
Anthropic’s chief scientist Jared Kaplan is making some grave predictions about humanity’s future with AI.
The choice is ours, in his framing. For now, our fates are mostly in our hands, according to Kaplan — unless we decide to pass the proverbial baton to the machines, that is.
Such a point is fast approaching, he says in a new interview with The Guardian. By 2030, Kaplan predicts, or as soon as 2027, humanity will have to decide whether to take the “ultimate risk” of letting AI models train themselves. The ensuing “intelligence explosion” could elevate the tech to new heights, birthing a so-called artificial general intelligence (AGI) which equals or surpasses human intellect and benefits humankind with all sorts of scientific and medical advancements. Or it could allow AI’s power to snowball beyond our control, leaving us at the mercy of its whims.
“It sounds like a kind of scary process,” he told the newspaper. “You don’t know where you end up.”
Kaplan is one of many prominent figures in AI warning about the field’s potentially disastrous consequences. Geoffrey Hinton, one of the three so-called godfathers of AI, famously declared he regretted his life’s work, and has frequently warned about how AI could upend or even destroy society. OpenAI Sam Altman predicts that AI will will wipe out entire categories of labor. Kaplan’s boss, CEO Dario Amodei, recently warned AI could take over half of all entry-level white-collar jobs, and accused his competitors of “sugarcoating” just how badly AI will disrupt society.
It sounds like Kaplan agrees with his boss’s jobs assessment. AI will be able to do “most white-collar work” in two to three years, he said in the interview. And while’s he’s optimistic we’ll be able to keep AIs aligned to human interests, he’s also worried about the prospect of allowing powerful AI to train other AIs, a “an extremely high-stakes decision” we’ll have to make in the near future.
“That’s the thing that we view as maybe the biggest decision or scariest thing to do… once no one’s involved in the process, you don’t really know,” he told The Guardian. “One is do you lose control over it? Do you even know what the AIs are doing?”
To an extent, larger AI models are already used to train smaller AI models in a process called distillation, which allows the smaller AI to essentially catch up with its larger teacher. Kaplan, however, is worried about what’s termed recursive self-improvement, in which the AIs learn without human intervention and make substantial leaps in their capabilities.
Whether we allow that to happen comes down to some heavy philosophical questions about the tech.
“The main question there is: are the AIs good for humanity?” Kaplan said. “Are they helpful? Are they going to be harmless? Do they understand people? Are they going to allow people to continue to have agency over their lives and over the world?”
While AI’s dangers are real, Kaplan’s warnings warrant some careful unpacking. For one, they uphold the premise is that AI is already some of the most consequential and important tech ever made, regardless of whether existing AI systems represent the powerful autonomous machines warned of in so many a cautionary sci-fi tale — or are at least a meaningful stepping stone to getting there. The adage goes that there’s no such thing as bad publicity, and you can add that doomsaying, especially in the AI industry, is its own form of hype. Visions of apocalypse distract from AI’s more mundane consequences, like its staggering environmental toll, its flaunting of copyright laws, and its addictive, delusion-inducing cognitive effects.
Moreover, many AI experts, including some of the field’s foundational figures like Yann LeCun, don’t believe that the LLM architecture that underpins AI chatbots are capable of blossoming into the all-powerful, intelligent systems that figures like Kaplan are so worried about. It’s not even clear if AI is actually increasing productivity in the workplace, with some research suggesting the opposite — joining several notable attempts of bosses replacing their workers with AI agents but then rehiring them once the tools fail.
Kaplan conceded it’s possible that AI’s capabilities could stagnate. “Maybe the best AI ever is the AI that we have right now,” he mused. “But we really don’t think that’s the case. We think it’s going to keep getting better.”

Clair Obscur Expedition 33 'Seesaw Puzzle' Guide

0

Verso’s Drafts has a lot for Clair Obscur players to do, including a very challenging Seesaw challenge.
As a thank you for supporting the game, the developers of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 have put out a massive update with a new area called Verso’s Drafts. There’s a lot to do in this section, like Hopscotch challenges, boss fights, collectibles to find, and more, but one of the trickiest parts of it is a seesaw challenge that seems easier than it looks.
If you’re having trouble clearing the Half-baked Gestral’s seesaw challenge in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, we have some tips for you.
Tips for the Seesaw Challenge in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

You’ll find a Half-baked Gestral in the pond area in the middle of Verso’s Drafts –several seesaws will be there, but you’ll want to look for the one that has an empty space for you and speak to the Gestral to start the challenge.
It’ll bring you into what seems like a battle of sorts, but you actually don’t need to “fight” the Gestral. The game doesn’t explain it well, but you have to time your jumps perfectly four times in order to claim victory.
We’ll upload a video above for you to watch our movements closely, but the one tip we can give you to complete this properly is to jump as soon as the Gestral touches down on the seesaw’s seat. If you do it too early, you’ll immediately fail, and you’ll also fail if you do it too late. The timing is really hard to get down, but after some practice, you’ll clear it in no time.
What’s the Reward for Clearing the Seesaw Puzzle in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33?

As a reward for beating the Gestral at the seesaw jump, you will get the Empowering Jumps Pictos. Once equipped, the Pictos will make counters deal 100% more damage for each successful Jump Counter during a single turn.

Apple Leak Revealed The HomePod 2 Mini – Here's When It Might Come Out

0

Reports seem to indicate a HomePod refresh is on the way, but if the leaks about HomePod 2 mini are true, don’t expect major improvements for the new speaker.
It’s been five years since Apple released the HomePod mini. Built on the failure of the original HomePod, the company thought that offering a cheaper model with modest sound quality could be a way to make its speakers mainstream. Over the years, Apple upgraded its device with new colors, and even released a second generation of the HomePod with more powerful sound and improved audio technologies. Still, none of these releases were able to make Apple’s HomePod a success.
For a while, rumors about the HomePod mini 2 have floated around the web, but so far, its release still has yet to be confirmed. During 2025, reports suggested that this device’s release was imminent, but as this year is wrapping up, Apple has seemingly delayed the launch of this device for 2026.
Still, leaked code reveals that not only does this device exist, but it’s finally on the way. According to Macworld, Apple’s internal code reveals the company is readying the release of an upgraded speaker with the same S10 chip found in the latest Apple Watch models.Don’t expect a big upgrade to Apple’s HomePod mini lineup
Since Apple is only expected to upgrade the chip inside the second-generation HomePod mini, it’s unclear how much the company will be able to improve the speaker’s audio quality. One of the biggest complaints regarding the first generation is the lack of rich bass, which the company might be able to partially address by tweaking certain internal components.
Still, one of the major upgrades this speaker could get would be an all-new Siri powered by Apple Intelligence, though it’s unclear if that’s part of the company’s plans for this refresh. The HomePod mini will presumably continue to offer similar audio quality, no visual improvements, and Apple will likely focus its business strategy into the long-rumored smart home hub; which is expected to launch alongside this new Siri with iOS 26.4.
While rumors point to a 2026 release of the HomePod mini 2, it’s unclear how this device can find success if Apple is apparently not worried about new AI capabilities. Only aiming at a small refresh with slightly improved specs may not prove fruitful for the HomePod.
