Earlier this week, Microsoft released Windows 10 build 15019 to Insiders on the Fast Ring. It included features such as Game Mode, improved emoji support and text-to-speech for eBooks in Edge, among other things. Edge browser was also updated with support for WebRTC 1.0 API and related technologies for plugin-free video communication.
Microsoft revealed in a blog post, that the version of Edge available in the latest Windows 10 preview supports the WebRTC 1.0 API, and H.264/AVC and VP8 video codecs for real-time communication. The company began work on supporting these modern web communication technologies in 2015, with ORTC in EdgeHTML 13 and later with H.
