A gang from mainland China thought to be behind a series of burglaries in Hong Kong was arrested in a local police raid on Friday night. The four men, aged between 24 and 34, came to the city with two-way permits, a police source said. Police believed they were linked with a series of burglaries that involved upscale houses in Sai Kung and Tseung Kwan O in the New Territories. The suspects had been placed under police surveillance after they recently re-entered Hong Kong from the mainland. They were tailed on Clear Water Bay road in Sai Kung as they entered a house on Friday night. The tenants were not at home at the time.
