After launching the PS4 Slim in North America last year with 500GB of storage, Sony has announced that it will begin selling the console with a 1TB hard drive this month, for the same price.
Last year, Sony announced the PlayStation 4 Slim , a sleeker version of its hugely popular console. It went on sale in the United States in September, priced at around $299 with a 500GB hard drive.
In other markets, the PS4 Slim shipped with a 1TB drive, but 500GB has remained the only option in North America so far. But Sony is about to change that by making 1TB the standard storage for the console in the US and Canada. The company announced today on Twitter that the 1TB model will be „arriving on store shelves this month“, priced at $299.
