Trump Condemns Tehran Attacks
President Donald Trump on Wednesday condemned the terror attacks in Tehran and warned the Iranian government of sponsoring terrorism, the Hill reports.
„We grieve and pray for the innocent victims of the terrorist attacks in Iran, and for the Iranian people, who are going through such challenging times, “ Trump said in the statement . „We underscore that states that sponsor terrorism risk falling victim to the evil they promote.“
The Islamic State on Wednesday claimed responsibility for a shooting at Iran’s parliament and the setting off of a suicide bomb at the Mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini in Tehran — a twin assault at the heart of the Islamic Republic that killed up to 12 people and wounded 42. Six attackers were killed and five more suspects were detained following the assault.
Last Saturday, the group claimed responsibility for an attack by knife-wielding men who mowed down and stabbed revelers in London, killing seven people before being shot dead in a barrage of police gunfire.
