Jordan Spieth is a serial winner. He’s made that much abundantly clear though his young by trophy-laden career. But on Sunday at the British Open, he looked anything but.
Spieth came into the final round with a three shot lead, which promptly evaporated after a bogey-par-bogey-bogey start, before a birdie on his fifth hole began to right the ship.
Indeed, it was nervy from the very first shot for Jordan Spieth, and microphones on the course picked up as much. After thinking his first tee shot would turn out well, only to see it get caught up in some heavy rough, microphones caught Spieth’s instant take on the result:
„That’s just crap, man. That’s just crap. Not get rewarded for a good shot.“
