Taylor Swift has just given new meaning to her song, “Bad Blood.”
It looks like the pop star has just bought an $18 million townhouse in TriBeCa at 153 Franklin St ., according to city property records.
The home is across the street from a double penthouse duplex that Swift owns at 155 Franklin St .
She bought that unit for $19.95 million in 2014 from “Lord of the Rings” director Peter Jackson — reportedly booting out Sir Ian McKellen in the process.
153 Franklin, a federal style townhouse, gained notoriety in 2011 when disgraced French politician Dominique Strauss-Kahn stayed there while he was under house arrest for sexually assaulting and attempting to rape a hotel maid.
This was long before Harvey Weinstein was exposed in the #MeToo movement as a serial sex assaulter, but it was also scandalous. DSK, as he was known, was the former head of the International Monetary Fund who was about to run for president of France until his arrest. At the time, he lived there with his then-wife, an American-born French journalist and heiress named Anne Sinclair, who spent millions of her fortune on his defense before she finally left him.
Now paparazzi who once staked out the home for DSK may be back — for Taylor.
The trade appears to be an off market deal, as the home was never listed.
The 27-foot wide, 3-story townhouse comes with a gym, a spa, antique French wide plank oak floors and a planted terrace with a Japanese paper glass wall, according to a former listing. It was bought by Euro Tribeca LLC, which is linked to Jesse P. Schaudies, a lawyer who works for Swift’s management firm and who represented her on past real estate purchases.
Swift and Schaudies could not be reached for comment.
Swift was previously renting 23 Cornelia St. over the summer of 2016 for $40,000 a month while her 155 Franklin St. penthouse was being renovated.
