Ryan Seacrest announced Monday morning on “Live” that ABC’s revival of “the iconic series that revolutionized the television landscape by pioneering the music competition genre” (in the network’s words) will make its two-hour premiere on Sunday, March 11 at 8/7c.
“Idol” will then run for two hours every Sunday at 8 p.m.
As previously (and gradually) announced over the past six months, helping to steer America’s vote for the next singing sensation will be Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, while Seacrest will return as host.
