NBC has killed a Kevin Spacey mention in its hit fall show just days after the Oscar winner was accused of sexual assault.
Producers took out a reference from Tuesday night’s episode of “This Is Us” “in light of recent events,” 20th Century Fox Television said in a statement.
In the original version of the episode, Kevin’s (Justin Hartley) roommate books a role on a movie starring Spacey, according to TVLine .
The line, which was shot weeks ago, was altered before the episode airs.
‘House of Cards’ suspends production amid Spacey allegations
On Sunday, “Star Trek: Discovery” actor Anthony Rapp accused Spacey of making a drunken sexual advance on him in 1986 when he was 14 years old; Spacey was 26 at the time.
“He picked me up like a groom picks up the bride over the threshold. But I don’t, like, squirm away initially, because I’m like, ‚What’s going on?‘ And then he lays down on top of me,” Rapp told Buzzfeed of his experience with the actor at an afterparty while he was starring in “Precious Sons” and Spacey had a supporting role in “Long Day’s Journey Into Night.”
“He was trying to seduce me. I don’t know if I would have used that language. But I was aware that he was trying to get with me sexually.”
In a statement late Sunday night, Spacey said he did not remember the encounter and was “horrified” by the allegations.
‘House of Cards‘ and other shows rocked by scandals

Amid allegations, Netflix announced that “House of Cards” will end after the sixth season. Production on the show was suspended Tuesday.
